The Shire of Bastille du Lac would like to invite all Armoured and Rapier combatants to compete in the first tournament of the year!

Go South On Glen Miller Road towards CFB Trenton
Turn left onto Dixon Dr

Site is on Stella Crescet

The day will begin with a procession of fighters and consorts.
If you do not have a consort feel free to fight for your King, Queen, Prince, Princess, Baron, Baroness, Family, or Friends.

The tournament will alternate between Armoured and Rapier Combat.
A shield tree will be in use to track the tournament.
Please be advised that great weapons will be limited due to ceiling height.
prizes will be provided to the First, Second, and Third place competitors for both the Armoured, and Rapier tournaments.

Take exit 278B/Highway 8 west on to King Street East towards Kitchener
Head right onto Highway 8 west towards Kitchener

Continue down University Avenue – Laurier will be on your left-hand side

There are lights at University and Hazel. If you turn left there you will go through an underpass. Lot 7 and Bricker Academic are directly ahead of you.

If you are using mapping software you are headed to basically 30 Bricker Ave, Waterloo, ON.

(note for fun that there is no “30 Bricker Ave” because it is on the WLU campus, but that seems to be the right physical location on the right street. If we tried to mail something to that address though it would bounce)

Forward Into The Past is a one-day symposium that arranges speakers on a broad range of historical topics including the arts and crafts practiced by various cultures, history of particular regions, cultures, or times, and where feasible allows this learning to be conducted in a hands-on environment. An open-format day, Forward Into The Past is designed to allow academics, experimental archaeologists, members of the public, and members of various historical re-enactment and recreation groups to gather and explore history.

A lunch can be purchased on site, or there are local restaurants.
