This is from a Oct. 1990 Algonquin park canoeing trip. I believe that Henry and I entered at the Rain Lake entrance on the SW side of the park. The film used was 100 ASA negative.
For the curious, the blackness at the edges of some pictures is due to having a daylight filter on my 28-200 mm lens while at 28mm.
The rule of thumb that we had was that we each carried 1/2 of our body weight on a
portage. That ment that Henry carried the canoe - but I got his food pack!
At this point it was getting towards dusk and I saw my first moose ever - after quite
a few trips to this park.
Here is a Blue Heron, a frog and then a Loon, in the water.
This little critter is so fast that his head turned when my camera went click and
so the shot was blurred.
Henry and I entered at the Rain Lake entrance on the SW side of the park. Water levels were more than a bit low at one point and we had to portage a large mud & stump section that should have been a lake!
