Iceline Hike, Yoho NP

I started this hike at 8:23am, stoped while two light snow storms passed thru, continued part way down the path into Little Yoho Valley, and took the trail back - finishing at 1:45pm.
The first picture is from the valley floor, the 2nd shows where the trail goes and the 3rd is a look back down the valley after about 30 min. of hiking.

9:30am This is Celepte Lake(?), an 8.3km round trip. I took a picture, turned around and headed for the main trail and went along the Iceline.

1:30 aprox 30 min of light snow
1:45 back at car
9:20am 2-wide shot of Takakkaw Falls and some pictures of the falls from the hike back.
The wonderfull thing about this hike is that within a hour of hiking you will see the Takakkaw Falls from above - and clearly see the glacier from which the water for the falls comes from.

As you hike you will notice pieces of the Emerald glacier on your left.

10:40am and I'm at Celeste Lake. The lake doesn't look like much - it's basically meltwater from the Emerald glacier ( part of which is just above the lake).

Look at this picture and try to find the trail. The trail isn't too hard to find and there are plenty of cairns in places. This trail was quite busy. With an early start I was by myself for hours - but then I was meeting large and small groups of people; one after another.

10:52am - There was a 30m, or so, high pile of rubble which a side trail went I. I dashed to the top and took these pictures.

11:30am and here is where the trail drops into Little Yoho valley. I take a small break and then turn back.
