This hike clearly does not see many people. Within the first hour I was going thru several sections which were growing in. The old road which went thru his was amazinly well built - given how and when it was done. There is a short hike which goes along the old road. The Mt. Outram trail starts along that and then goes up, up and up.
I hiked for a total of 3 hours (round trip) and estimated that I made it about half way to the peak. The hike was about twice as long as I estimated. I never saw information about the hike anywhere.
7:05am - I've started the hike.
8:37am - I am at 17 mile creek, about 1/2 of the way up - I think.
9:00am - Finally, a clearing. I've been hiking in a forest till this point.
9:08am - I am at a rocky viewpoint. The mosquitoes are quite bad here, even though it is windy.
I took a 3-wide shot (28mm lens) finishing the film roll and took 2 shots (50mm lens) on a new roll.
Then I turned around and went back down.
11:07am - I'm back at car and on my way to Vancouver Island.
