At the trailhead you'll see the distances:
Paget lookout 3.6km, Sherbrook Lake 3.0km
Both hikes start on the same trail - and there is a fork at the 1.4km point (aprox 20 min. of hiking)
7:20am - I'm starting and it's about 5C with clear evidence that it snowed at higher elevations.
7:42am - I am at the fork; the lake is 1.6km away.
8:20am - Now at the lookout/hut and the view is beautiful (finished roll of film)
9:05am - Large slow, snow covered rocks and I am at the first peak. It is cold, with great views!
9:50am - After hiking around I am heading down. I decided not to hike to the other peak(s) because
of the slippery snow.
10:23am - Now I'm back at the observation hut.
11:15am - I took the fork to Sherbrooke Lake, took 3 pictures and ran out of film. The lake just doesn't
look as vibrantly colorful when you are so close to the water.
last 2 @ parking for paget peakThese pictures were taken from the parking lot. The snowy peaks, in order?, are O'Hara (when I started and 4 hours later), Cathedral and Victoria.
Now I'm on the trail and hiking.
