I always like to grab a picture or two when I'm airborne. It's definately harder with a kid on your lab who would also like to play with the camera!
I was out of film and my digital camera died during takeoff. There wasn't any view of the mountains once we were past the coastal mountains though. Friends and family have had amazing views of the mountain lakes when flying east from Vancouver.
