This hike took us from the Kwai lake campground out past McKenzie Lake. Past
the lake the trail climbed in the forest. There was an old lookout trail and
I took some pictures there. This is a very long hike and I kept expecting to
see a "plateau"; but the majority of the hiking was in forest.
Here is a view from the Kwai campground looking towards Mt. Albert Edward.
Here is a typical lake in this park; shallow!!
Here is the view from the lookout side trail
This is what most of the tail looks like. It is not always flat but does climb
and descend.
Here is my best picture of Kwai lake early in the morning before the sun
rose.
The best place to get a view of Mt. Albert Edward and the other mountains
is from Hair Trigger Lake. The trail on the make looks like it goes to the
lake but it does not. You have to take a seperate side trail that brings you
to this nice quiet lake.
Here is a bad picture of a Whiskey Jack. Put some food on your hand and
these birds will be all over you!
