Into Jasper National Park (Alberta) Vacation Pictures

We found excellent hardware stores between Edmonton and the mountains. They even had my rare (at the time) propane/butane fuel canisters for the camping stove.
As you drive from Edmonton to Jasper you will see the mountains:

The Athabasca River.

The Maligne Canyon hike.

Medicine Lake. Water flows into this lake; but no surface water flows out; ie all of the water leaves the lake thru cracks in the rock underneath the lake.
