The Wedgemont Trail (BC, Garabaldi National Park)

This hike starts up a logging road; so access by bicycle is limited. The logging road is used and you can not park on it. Just like other hikes close to Vancouver; this one is extreamly busy during the summer.

You should start a hike early in the morning because the mountain will block the sun. This means a cooler climb.

The Wedgemont trail leads upto a small lake that is fed from the meltwater of a glacier. The trail is steep, slippery and difficult at times.

At the top there is a cabin for camping as well as plenty of hiking.

The first picture shows the lake at the top of the climb. Somewhere on the left edge is a couple walking along the edge! You will not be able to see them because the lake is fairly large.

The 2nd picture shows the view that you will get part way up the climb.
