Here are the tablelands as seen from the Lookout Trail.

Here is a view of the Tablelands from the roadside. Yes, it is August and there is snow from
the previous winter.
Climbing upto the top of the tablelands is hard, slow, rocky climbing. There is no offical trail. It can be dangerous and fog can strand you.
The Tablelands trail actually goes along the valley on an old road. In this picture you can see the wonderfull
view that you get; the dead cliffs on one side [under-the-ocean crust that is loaded with metals and doesn't
sustain plant life] and the other side a normal [life sustaining] part of the upper crust.
The hike up is not easy as you can see.
