Italy (day 2) 1993 Cycling Trip

Here is a nice bike ride that has to be in a few books. It was 3 mountain passes and 100 switchbacks. I remember it only being something like 60 km of cycling - but that is a good hard day in the Dolomites.

As always, our late start ment that we were cycling into dusk. I believe that this was the day when one of Brents tires tore and he stiched it together with a needle and thread. It lasted the rest of the trip and for quite a bit of cycling after that!

Both of us in a comfortable room for the night.

What can I say - another day and more mountain passes. I don't think that I'd like it as much if I lived here. It seemed that every town required a 1 to 3 hour bike ride to the top of a pass before you could go down hill.

Here is our last bit of cycling in Italy as we head to Bolzano so that we can catch the train back to Austria; and hopefully somewhere drier!

I don't know what this place is; but there was bus after bus after bus of tourists stopping here. It looked like a glacially fed lake - with torquise blue water.
