Unfortunately these pictures were taken with 400ASA negative film (Seattle Film Works)
These pictures were from a October 1990 trip to Lady Evelyn Lake with two friends, Frank and Henry. It was late fall and the water temperature was excellent for swimming. Unfortunately the trip involves crossing the north end of Lady Evelyn Lake and the strong winds from the south made the journey very difficult. We eneded up staying on an island till we were towed out by a boat a day later.
Once we were over the top of the lake things were much better. We had two goals - to climb the 100' fire tower on the 1,000' "mountain" and to do a loop of waterfalls and portages. However, due to the bad winds going in we were only able to climb the mountain.
On the way out we discovered just what a Coleman canoe was good for - work! Other groups with less able canoists were able to stay head of us.
Since it was a long drive up (around 12 hours) we camped just south of the lake at a park.
The last part of the climb was above the trees and a bit steeper.
