Bancroft Ontario?

We stoped at a place close to Bancroft? Ontario for a snack and saw this

WWOOFing Farm

We stayed at a WWOOFing farm and here are some pictures.
Note how the dangly bit over the beak, of the turkey, can stand upright. This turkey liked to follow my kids around - which frightened them. This farm comprises 300 acres which is mostly wooded. Because of the fire, there are many less animals than there were - basically chickens, ducks, gueese, horses, sheep and pot bellied pigs.

Here is the home being built by donations after their log cabin burnt down. They then moved into a smaller cabin which was previously used by WWOOFers.

The picture of the log cabin and addition was shortly after I finished the strapping on the roof. Thanks to Ray - and his having brought 3 cordless drills we were, with the help of Dawber and his brother (on a cross country motorcyle trip), able to get the steel roof up in a day.

Bonnecherre Caves

We visited Bonnechere Caves because it was raining a lot. This is the most impressive cave system I've seen in Ontario. What's interesting is that the caves are kept dry via pumps - but during the winter the water is allowed to rise so that the bats have a stable temperature during the winter.
