July 2006 - Connestoga Lake

The beach is sandy with rocks and clay in places. It's fairly shallow and not bad for preschoolers.

Here is a June 2007 picture of the dam which created the lake. It only took a bit over an hour for us to loop most of the lake in a canoe. Tons of power boats and See-Dos were out during this trip. Blech!

June 2006 Trip - Guelph Lake

The bugs were not a problem at night but non-existant during the daytime.

We arrived at sunset and the view was quite nice.
