Ontario Parks Inverhuron park site
Were were not very impressed with this park - given that we had a pair of toddlers. The web site lead us to believe that there were sandy beachs when the beaches near the campsites were rocky and dangerous for toddlers. There was a sandy beach but you're forced to drive there and our goal is to park the car and never start it until it's time to go home (northern Ontario parks encourage this).
The park was expensive at $30.50 / night and it was littered with beer bottles and caps - indicating just what sort of people frequent this park. Mind you we only found a few beer bottles while the last park we were at, Rockwood, we came home with enough empties to pay for 1/10 of our camping fee!
This park is right next to the Bruce Nuclear Power Plant and it makes aprox. 20% of the Ontario electricity supply.
