Ben Lawers Scotland

Ben Lawers

Just like all Scottish hikes up mountains; we were stuck in the clouds for about 30 min. before there were some good enough clearings for pictures. We climbed into the saddle and then upto the peak on the left. However, cloud rolled in; the high winds and cold weather made us turn around fairly quickly.

We started hiking at 9:45 and the 6 mi trail took 4 hours of hiking. You can easily add another 30 min. of walking around on top and taking pictures on a good day.
The pamplets said that this is a very popular site with over 700,000 visitors per year.

These two pictures were taken from the parking lot. There is another hike up Beinn Ghlas further up the road on the other side.
