At the end of the Mule Ears hike is the Mule Ears spring. Suddenly you see a green oasis
in the desert. I took pictures from high up on the side of the spring area. The spring
was very small and there was not much water. I certainly would not drink it under any
conditions!
I continued to hike past the spring on the backpacking trail and so extended this hike to
a 2 hour hike. One frustrating thing was that I expected to get closer to the Mule Ears
but that doesn't happen.
