This drive is a one way gravel road that takes about 45 min. to drive around. You will not be able to turn around, pass people or drive faster around this loop. Be warned!

Rattlesnake Canyon - Carlsbad Caverns Hike

I only hiked 30 min. into this trail. The terrain is quite different than Big Bend or Guadalupe Mountain but my pictures don't show that very well. I was told that only about 1% of Carlsbad NP visitors hike on these trails and that is clearly evident in the fact that the trails are not heavily worn or clearly visible! Maps and a compass would be very useful if you plan to spend more than a day-hike on these trails.
